    Amazing salads, bruschette, etc.

My wife and I went here on a Wednesday. The wine was reasonably priced and very good. The roasted beets, kale salad, artichoke salad, tuna tartare, and avocado bruschetta were all excellent and reasonable.

    Excellent!

The staff could not have be nicer. They were attentive and pleasant. The food was very tasty. We had some of the pita spreads and a meat/cheese platter. The chocolate mousse cake was delicious. The atmosphere was light, airy and comfortable. I would definitely go back again and I've already recommended it to friends.

    Poor Experience

Here is a list of reasons this was a poor experience for brunch: 1. We had a reservation and waited about 10 minutes at the front until I realized nobody was coming. I had to go and find someone to take our name. (3 groups of people came in and left because nobody was upfront to help) 2. I ordered tea and the saucer wasn't clean. The busboy came over, saw the plate and apologized before I even said something. 3. The food took 40 minutes to come out after we ordered. I looked around and there was literally just no food coming out of the kitchen. After we ordered, the waitress never came back once during that 40 minutes. I had to get up and get her to find out what was going on. When I asked, the waitress she basically had no reaction and just walked away. I just ordered dips and my boyfriend ordered eggs with sausage. There was no reason for it to take that long. 4. When we finally got the check, it was the wrong check completely. It was for a lot less but we didn't want to take advantage. The waitress clearly had no clue what was going on since she didn't even know what we ordered.

    Charming, sustainable, organic

Last night I made a reservation for a group of five. One of the people in our group had visited Lallisse before & suggested we try it out. It's a great place to share a couple of different appetizer items and you can also have more heavier, entree-type dishes. We started with the charcuterie plate and chose 7 meats & cheeses. I really enjoyed the chorizo, rustico and prosciutto. We ended up ordering another of the same meats & cheeses because we liked them so much! I ordered the kale salad with chicken and I tried one of my friends dishes which was the rosemary chicken. If I was hungrier I would have ordered that. Our server suggested a wine for us when we told her what our preference was and we ended up drinking a couple of bottles (whew!) of this itlaian pinot noir. It went very well with the heavier dishes as well as the lighter ones like mine. I really enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant and the service was what made the night. I ended up talking with our server for a minute and she mentioned that the owner built the tables and wine racks out of sustainable wood. Very impressed. We'll be back.

    Old, Overpriced Salad

This restaurant had a very nice, warm, relaxed vibe. However, the kale salad I ordered for $12 was a side salad portion rather than a lunch salad, and had yellowed, old kale. My friend's $9 vegetarian pannini was not crisp, but soggy. I wanted to like this place, but there are other restaurants in this neighborhood with much better food quality and value.

Great lunch spot in Murray Hill

Quiet, friendly and delicious. I cannot believe I have not spotted Lallisse earlier!
