We were walking around Hells Kitchen area to find a nice dine in restaurant. We came across this restaurant, guy out side was like a salesman who sweet talked us in saying they have a great 3 course meal for great price. 3 course meal included Soup/Salad, Dinner and CheeseCake ($26-$30). Do not order steak here! I would eat $10 Outback Steakhouse any day over this steak. Overly priced sirlion steak ($25) was cooked well done, when we asked for medium. Told the server that steak was way over cooked, she didn't do anything, never mind apologizing. Service was subpar. They need to train their whole staff to smile, nevertheless how to serve. I have worked as a server for 3 yrs when I was in college, I do know what I am talking about. Server never came to check on us after the dinner was served, typically they should come within a minute or less. I asked for more oil for bread, it never came. There was a gentleman who was walking around picking up plates and refilling water, thought the whole dinner, he only came once to refill water. When i asked for more water, he only refilled my glass but not my friends. Yes, their glasses were empty. More I think about this place, more upset I get. They charged gratuity on party of four? I have never been to any restaurant who charges gratuity for four. We were so upset that we wanted to leave as soon as the bill came. I did not notice they added gratuity until i came home and saw the receipt. If i knew, i would have never in a million yrs tipped that waitress. If I could give 0 stars to this place, I would. I'm truly disappointed with this place.

The food wasn't very good quality especially for the high prices I paid. I had to constantly ask for refills on water and the service was very bad.I would never go back to this restaurant again.

What a disappointment. We used to go here after theatre and could count on a good, pleasantly served meal. Maybe the owners changed, but all the staff seemed put upon, we had to ask repeatedly for fresh pepper, and the food was 'eh'. And I still cannot figure out how the bill was so high. I cannot imagine going back.

My husband and I had dinner at L'Alllegra last night prior to the theatre. The restaurant was empty. To get right to the point after sitting for a while "bread was brought" Pizza dough lightly baked..no bread.... When ordering I asked if there was anything else besides potato and string beans I could have with my entree...I was thinking Chicken Marsala or Saltimboca I was told I could double the potatoes. Pasta was not an option. I decided to order Penne a la Vodka with Grilled Chicken off the Prix Fix Menu. My husband ordered Chicken Francese from the ala Carte menu. Our Cesear Salad tasted contained no cheese that we could taste and we were not offered any nor ground pepper. My husband 's Chicken Francese was passable. My Penne was edible though overcooked. But the chicken was horrible, not cooked through..Not once did any wait staff come to our table to see how our meal was. The final straw was when my husband had to call over a waiter to refill his coffee. After the request the waiter stood a few feet away having a private conversation with another employee for a few minutes before going to get the pot of coffee. The entire time we were there only 5 tables were filled including ours. As we left my husband commented "I guess they don't get any return Business"

L'Allegria is a nice Italian restaurant; the food is always good. The Margarita pizza is superb. Also, when using my living social coupon, I never had an issue and as common sense and respect, one needs to tip on the used $ portion and not on the difference owed to the restaurant. So you eat for $50 worth of food and you present a $40 voucher, Don't tip $3 on the $10 you owe then write bad reviews ??? Next time you go try the brick oven pizza or the Ossobucco you'll become a regular. The staff is always neat & friendly.

As a local in Hells Kitchen i cam assure you this is the only restaurant here i will never go back to. Food was okay. The owner was the most unprofessional man I've ever met in the restaurant industry. They would not honor our living social deal because the certificate was on my phone, not printed out (which living social clearly states you can do). The owner almost got in a fist fight with my boyfriend. It was only after I threatened to call the police that he honored the deal. We were also overcharged $17.00. I strongly do not recommend

The hostess was quite rude and unwilling to be helpful - I placed a pickup order with her and had to go to the restaurant three times before it was even put into the system. Each time I spoke with her directly, and she was unhelpful and unapologetic. Finally when I got my pizza, it wasn't even that great. There are several other good/better places in the area that you shouldn't be subject to such hassle.
