Oh so delish
This bakery is wonderful and unique, at least, for New York. I absolutely love the delicate 30-crepe layer cakes in green tea flavor or vanilla and their other confections are oo so good also. While traveling in Japan, and waiting for a train at a remote train station, we stopped to have a cup of coffee at a chain coffee and tea shop. There my friend spied the same cake that apparently you can buy at any one of these Japanese versions of Starbucks. It cost around $2.50 for what Lady M charges $7.00 a slice. It was very good, same labor intensive creation, but not quite as fresh. I think because they are made commercially in Japan and available all over. The Lady M Bakery has great quality control and I think this is the only location. It is a bargain compared what a trip to Japan costs, so go and enjoy!

Former Worker
I used to be a former worker at Lady-M and I can tell you from experiance that they have the best cakes. As a person who knows the ingrediants and the way the cakes are made, their worth every penny. Only the best ingrediants are used in those cakes and the bakery prides itself on excellent sanitary conditions. I recommend if you want great cake then order from Lady-M.

A place for the ladies who lunch
We enjoyed what we had but it was a real splurge at $14 for two slices of cake.

Excellent Cake
I ordered the checker cake for a friend's birthday and it was amazing! The price is high, but worth it.

Great Cake, Less Than Great Service
I would definitely recommend the cakes here - they are all delicious! However, they were not very polite with our order. They forgot to give us one of our cakes and took forever to make a ho-hum capuccino that cost five dollars. Only the desserts are worth it at this place.

Amazing cake!
The cake is out of this world!!! every single cake in the long line of display cake is colorful and beautiful. The staff is very nice, haveing a lot of knowledge about each cake and i even watched them box some cakes to go, and everythign is dealt with so delicately. I had teh cheesecake, (voted best in NYC by new york mag) and it was amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves cake and wants to taste something they will never forget!!

The checkerboard cake was the most wonderful cake I have ever eaten-I had two pieces.
