    Awesome

The food in this place is awesome. You must try the Datiles(stuffed dates wrapped in bacon), Tuna ceviche, the corn on the cob!, the risotto with meatballs and the parrillada(assortment of meat). For dessert the panqueques and churros. I can't believe we ate so much, lol. Everything was good. Service is attentive and the live music was an excellent touch. Coming back soon!

Qualty of food/service does not match price

$4 for half a glass of ginger ale. $40 sangria that is water down. And they automatically add 18% tip for two people. And leave a spot for "more tip" on the receipt. I was treating my wife out to nice restaurant. If the food and service match the price, no issue. I've been to Latin America, and this is average Argentinian food. Except for the crispy calamari, nothing else was memorable. The waiter was mediocre and delivered items late. We received the sangria after we just finished our meal. Half the lamb was over cooked, and the other half was done correctly (medium rare). Had to ask for the standard bread and menu. While the waiter was mediocre at best, the "helpers" we good and polite. I wish they would get most of the tip. The low rating is due to the huge discrepancy between quality of food/service to what was charged, charging 18% and calling it "tip", and over all experience. I certainly would not recommend this place to friends.

    Nice find

We were in the East Village, where we tend to be disappointed by the food, but were thrilled to find La Zarza. It's a great, romantic space inside; the staff is very friendly and efficient; and the food was superb at pretty good prices. I'm definitely coming back.

    good food!

The food is great and so is the service. The waiters are friendly, with nice soft music. What else you can ask for? The sangria is definitely the best i every tried! Cons: The goat cheese croquets that I order as an appetizers was a little bit colder that i would be expected to be. Overall great place! I definitely plan on coming back soon!

    Nice space, subpar food

Came in with my bf to try this place out and I was less than thrilled. Started off with the goat cheese croquettes and I was really disappointed. They were good, however, there were just 3 tiny little balls on a few scraps of lettuce, so it was barely an appetizer for 1, let alone 2 people. Then my main dish was the Paella De La Zarza. I have to say this dish was not good at all. It was just a lot of rice (that seemed too soft and sticky) with little bits of chicken and some mussels thrown in. The lobster piece was not sweet, just bland, and overall the dish wasn't tasty or very creative. So I ended up eating about 1/3 of my dish. My partner had a meat dish that consisted of some steak and sausages. His dish had more flavor, but it seemed overly greasy and fatty so he only had half and saved half for home. The meal was pretty expensive, over $60 and it was not satisfying. The place itself was a nice atmosphere but the food wasn't appetizing.

    Great Space, Bad food

This place has it all from atmosphere to great service to impressive crowd. The only thing it needs in a new chief! The blandness and lack of creativity in the menu really shows. If you're looking for gourmet chipotle this is the place for you.
