How can a glorified pizza shop exist and not sell a large pie. I reluctantly called for a delivery recently because the neighborhood's better pizza shop was closed for their annual August vacation. I was told that Traviata only makes individual pizzas. I was shocked. You have the dough, sauce and cheese but what?!? you don't stock the large box. The neighborhood deserves better.

My husband and I have been to this restaurant, as well as, made the big mistake of ordering from here. The penne vodka (which is hard to mess up) was flavorless and made us feel like we should have just made some pasta at home with canned vodka sauce and it would have been way better! Also, the calamari had a rubbery consistency, was oily, and again tasteless. La Traviata is a disgrace to Brooklyn to have such a subpar Italian restaurant in the heart of the prestigious Heights. Oh and the service workers are just plain rude. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or money on this place...seriously.

What a great place to go and eat. The price is cheap for the quality of food given. I have to say that the ambiance is also a nice sight. I go there all the time. its become somewhat of a tradition to go there once a week. I highly recommend... maybe I should reconsider because sooner or later it will be hard to find a seat.

I want to recommend the pasta. We had some fusilli that was just perfect. I'm really picky about pasta, so I'm pretty sure it was homemade. The portion was huge, so it's enough for two. Everything we had was delicious, and we couldn't believe what a deal it was. It's a great place for a casual neighborhood meal, and I'll be ordering delivery for sure!

my regular go-to place for eggplant parm. not sure if its the best ive ever had, but pretty darn good. and they make it the right way - layers of eggplant! the apple cake is really good too.

Good place for solid, basic Italian food. And what I like about the place is that it doesn't pretend to be anything more, anything less.

the food was good. The service was pretty bad. the atmosphere is descent, very cafe like, good for casual dinner but it's cute all around. Our waitress disappeared on us as soon as she [drop]ped off our appetizer then we waited 30 mins for our food, I had to say something to the hostess because our waitress wasn't around and then our waitress came back said someone else took the wrong plate which is totally NOT my problem and that our meal will be ready soon. so we waited another 10 mins. By the time our food got there we didn't feel like eating anymore so we took two bites to taste the food and then asked for a box. We sat there for awhile not touching our food, our waitress never came back to check up on us if the food was okay. we left them 2 dollar tip on a $40 bill.
