    Not good

The tartes were good and flavorful but they lacked that marvelously crunchy crust, which is made with bread dough, that I had France and Germany. They were little limp. I thought the best of the lot was the Forestière. They're not nearly as good as the tarte flambée at the bar at MoMA.

    Yum and Different

Went with my local coupon to discover this cute little particular French restaurant. Service and atmosphere was very warm. Very good salad and the Flambee was delicious. Just wish there was more offered on the menu. A little disappointed that the dessert was also a flambee and not a real "banana split". Lots of charm in the service and in the food.

A taste of France on the UES

Visited La Tarte Flambee for the first time last night. The owner and staff were incredibly welcoming and informative. My husband and I shared two tartes and a salad - everything was fresh and delicious (especially the one with Munster). We will definitely be back, perhaps with a group to try the all you can eat special!

    Best Alsatian place in NYC

This was the second time that my wife and I went to La Tarte Flambee and we loved it again. Both the owner and the waitress are from France and they make the dining experience totally authentic. The food itself is just like from Alsace and the beer selection is outstanding. They are also very child friendly so if you get there early, you can enjoy dinner with your toddler/ kids. We will be back very soon.
