Just not fantastic, menu make the food seem like it would be a different style...like a place that was legit. not like this faux pas.

Hands down. I am from LA, from a Mexican family and travel frequently all over Mexico. There is no question that this is the best in Brooklyn, for sure. The staff is not rude. They are just hip. cool, artistic folks that don't go overboard in the smiling department. They are not polite to be polite. It's a taqueria, order your cheap tacos and enjoy the deliciousness! I have eaten here almost at least once a month since they opened and I think one of the guys offended me, once. And then I gave him a hard time and he was nice ever since. It's just a bit of attitude. But their Tacos make up for it! DO IT!

The food was amazing, I strongly recommend the Carnitas tacos and Ezquites. I was sad to learn it was no longer BYOB but their drinks were on point. The place was way too crowded but it was also a saturday night. I would defiantly go again.

Heavenly Tacos. I tried 4 types: the pork, pepper strips / cream sauce, tongue, and shrimp. All definitely the best Tacos I ever had. OK, maybe I'm not expert on Tacos but for sure these taste better than anything in the Burg... Green salsa was not hot as I expected - you can ask for real hot salsa if you feel like it. Tacos are very tasty but small - 3-4 bytes and it was gone - hence I consider it a little pricey at $2.5 per... I ate 5 tacos and paid $14 ($18 w tip) to get myself full. Not cheap, but once in a while I will come back for more. They have many other authentic street-style Mexican dishes. Service was great, I sat at the bar, and the bartender and waitress were very friendly and welcoming.

Pack your wine and beer and go to eat in this place if you want some good mexican food. We order almost everything on the menu (the portion are very small and well priced). The guacamole was fresh and tasty, try also the gorditas requeson, the Camarón Al Chipotle (if you like spicy) and the taco lengua. Check also the specials they are usually amazing. Not so good the Torta Ahogada (in felt like soggy bread stuffed with not so tender meat) the chaotic service (we have to ask for utensil more than once) and the table too close to each other but it is also part of the experience!

This place is what Mexican Dining is supposed to be, delicious, inexpensive and spicy. Coming from the SW I am picky about Mexican food and while it is not Tex Mex, this is one of the best spots I have found in NYC and the Best I found in Brooklyn. I usually go there with a friend that knows the staff so they are always nice to us. I am not sure how they treat others.

This is by far my favourite restaurant in Wburg. The food is out of this world and so so so inexpensive. Yeah, the place may be super small and the servers may not be insanely nice but who cares?! I go there to eat not to hang out with the staff. Guac, queso fundito, tacos, brain quesadillas, you name it, I've had it all, and honestly its the best.
