My husband and I were here for dinner on Nov.29,2013. We were there at 8:00, after the theatre rush.Went especially for the seafood salad. The tomatoes had the paper labels (stickers ) still on our tomatoes! When I handed the host my tomato slice he said that sometimes that happens ! The waiter said nothing. Both my husband and I had the stickers in our salads ! Hope they washed the tomatoes. If the salad was not so good we would have left.

place should be called Le Sale...the salt. seems like Morton's was the main ingredient in everyone's food. Need a big bottle of Poland Spring....service tries to be prof but not prof when I order a drink and food in the manner I like and I get an argument for staff. had to tell him twice...not good prices average for an over-priced area. would I go back, if I ever have a salt need and like to be treated harshly...then this would be my pick

A group of 7 of us ate here in February for a friend's 60th birthday. We ranged in age from mid 40's - 80+. All veteran theatre goers and NYC diners. And between us we've eaten at many theatre district restaurants. This was a most pleasant surprise. We found it by chance through a discount source (savored.com) and could not have been happier with our meal. We all loved our salads, appetizers, main courses and dessert. The waitstaff was beyond attentive. Two of our group have dietary issues and they were handled without issue. 5 of us had seafood dishes and everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Probably on the pricey side without our 30% discount through Savored, but we were all very happy and would highly recommend this restaurant. And we went in wary based on some of the menupages.com reviews. Glad we took the leap and gave it a shot!

After being offered a poor table at a restaurant on this street we stopped here. The food was great, excellent service - so friendly. we had a terrific experience and will be going back.

We were a family of seven adults who dined on 4/24/10 at La Rivista. Four family members had the shrimp, scallops risotto. The shrimp were overcooked and the scallops were so tiny you could hardly find them among the risotto. The 3 other diners said their food was ok. The service terrible. Our waiter was horrible, wish we had his name. He never asked if we needed anything. Reached across the table with food and drinks. Waited half an hour for a second round of drinks . Waited another 30 min. for dessert and coffee. As if we were not tortured enough, the coffee server spilled coffee on our daughters chair. He slapped a napkin on the seat and that was that. Never came with more coffee. We have eaten at several other restarants on restaurant row and always had quality food and waiter staff who cared about their guests. This is one restaurant my family will not be returning to.
