Love it!
La paella is great for a date or dinner with friends...old fashioned tapas and paella ( not this nouveau Spanish stuff everywhere) and AWESOME sangria. Great east village spot with retro flair.

The paella really wasn't good
I wouldn't say that I'm a paella expert as of yet (although I'd like to get to that point, as I adore it) but I was disappointed with it here, especially cuz of the restaurant's name! First, each paella dish (they have 5-6 varieties) has a price of $32-$36, with a "per person" price, which is exactly half of the main price. So yes, they will serve you a half portion for one person... and that's where I think the problem lies. In my opinion the paella is probably prepared in advance and then just dished out - or at the very least, they combine the rice with the meat/veggies at the moment of ordering. Meaning, the rice hasn't actually simmered with the juices of the seafood/meat you're actually eating... so the dish just didn't meld together. Plus, even though the metal serving dish was very hot, I would say that the dish wasn't actually "baked" in that plate - the rice and stuff were just dished into a pre-heated plate. So overall, not very impressive paella.

good stuff!
you people are crazy, this place is good stuff! went here with my girl for a nice date, sat downstairs which is super dim and candle lit. the food was good, the hamd and cheese croquettes are killer. the cheese plate isn't super great as its just manchego and apples. the bread is delicious and the paella was nice. could've used a bit more protiens in the paella but overall not bad. would return. the sangria was tasty!

Mediocre
The place has a nice atmosphere but every dish we had was bland. The sangria wasn't bad, but the pitcher does not provide the promise 8-9 glasses as it is half fruit. Probably won't be back.

It was ok
Went with a friend on a friday night. Is a nice place but super pricey for such small tapas and the taste is nothing unique about it. Since coming back from Barcelona I been eating tapas like crazy and this place was just ok and i will not be coming back. They do have really good service.

Great Place for a Date
I took my GF there Friday night we had a great time. The place is fairly dark and romatic. We sat next to eachother on a couch with a table in fromt of use. I spent about $100 with tip but we had Sangria and five different types of Tappas. The Shrimp wrapped in Bacon was amazing so if your looking for a great spot to take you lady go here.
