Awful
Waiters were rude. The food was a great disappoinment. Everything seemed rushed. Poor service, the maduros were swimming in oil, the carne guisada was absolutly awful. Friends ordered the house special fried rice, although portion was huge the rice seemed like it had been sitting there for a long time. Dry, tasteless. I will never go there again. Great letdown

Yum
This is a long-standing upper Manhattan tradition to get a drink at La Nueva Victoria. If you want your date to go from ordinary :( to extraordinary :) you MUST go and get a Bahama Mama, Nutcracker, or City Bus. It makes the poor rich, the ugly beautiful, the old young, and the undatable attractive. All you haters need to have a drink first, then rate this place!

Not a good experience
My mother and I were doing some shopping around the neighborhood and we decided to go in here for lunch. We both ordered fried rice. My mother ordered the house fried rice special from the lunch menu. When our orders came out, the rice looked and tasted as if like it was re-heated rice from like the day before or something. It was hard and seemed colorless and dry. Not a good experience at all.

Disappointed
I have always liked the house special fried rice and the boneless chicken crackling from this place and I always order from them a lot before. Unfortunately last time I ordered the lady sent me the wrong meal and I was still charged extra even though it was not what I ordered. So I called in and the lady said she would not charge me extra the next time I order. Well, I ordered again the following week and a man said there was no note so I still had to pay again the same price plus the extra. He said it was not his fault the order went wrong as if like it was my fault. I canceled my order and I just will not order from them again! It was like as if they didn't care if they lost such a long term customer over just a few dollars, which I had paid for in advance anyway. Comes to show how much they value their customers.

I miss the old Victoria China
I have been coming to this place since the 60s and when I moved away I always ate here. Last year I was in town and took some friends. We ordered the carne guisada, my all time favorite. Our waiter was surly and a pain. When he brought the food it bore no resemblance to any carne guisada I ever ate. It was this lump of inedible string beef which we could not eat. It looked and tasted like dog food. Even the maduros were hard and dry.

good chinese spanish food...
I always order the spanish steak with pork fried rice....I usually get it for lunch since its only 8.00 lol..... For dinner it is just as good just more pricey...However, the food is always good the steak and bonless chicken is the best.....

wonderful i go over and over again
i loved this place soooo much. the food was wonderful especially the house special rice omgg. i love the chicharron the pollo sin hueso. everything was wonderful. the waiter was wonderful and funny. id recommend it to everyone.
