La Nonna is a small place where you would not expect too much. Be prepared to be wowed! The food here is great. Everything on the menu is fantastic. The service, however, is something to be desired. Perhaps the servers should attend classes before they attempt to work in a restaurant.

lifelong italian resident of williamsburg, not a newcomer or hipster, or whatever they like to be called. this place has the best italian anywhere, i have eaten in them all, here in teh neighborhood and everywhere else. it's tight but what does that matter when you can eat like this, and at these prices. wow. last weekend i had a chicken rolatini special which was the BEST chicken dish i have ever eaten. it was stuffed with sliced artichoke hearts and peas, then smothered in those same hearts in a sauce that makes my mouth water as i am writing this now. the homemade gnocchi is by far the BEST anywhere as light as can be. take it from me, not from the newcomers, i've been there and done (ate) that, BEST italian anywhere, PERIOD.

My husband and I wandered in one night when we were checking out the area and now it's one of our favourite places to eat. The food is fantastic and we always order from the specials. If the service seems a bit slow, they make up for it with charm and the food is totally worth it in the end. You can't rush great food like this. ps. Bring your own wine, since they aren't licensed.

La Nonna is not the best Pizza I have ever had but it is the BEST pizza in the hood. I have been in WB for 13 years and had a lot of bad and over-priced pizza(if not both), incl. Fornino and Baci Abbracci. LN is a good deal. The service is not great but the waitresses are sweet. I have not tried the pastas as yet but salads are good. Decor is not awful but ok, I find it too bright in there. This is the only place I go for my Pizza in the hood.

Yes, that's right. Homemade pasta. Don't pass it up. Take out slices are one of the few in NY that feel loved. Like, as if they taste their own food and care about the flavors. Rare, actually. Rustic, down to earth, family style, go in jeans, no bells and whistles, great food at great prices. Eat here on a shopping break. Take out when you are too lazy to cook, or you need that comfort feel from mama. Go somewhere else if you are on a mission for The Great Slice, etc. If you live in the neighborhood, however, it will be one of your faves.

Wandered into this restaurant hoping the pizza was decent, it was quite honestly the best pizza I've found in Williamsburg! Not only that but the lasagna and the portabello gnocci were extraordinary! I do wish they served wine but next time I will just bring my own. I can't wait to go back and try more of their wonderful dishes!
