I was annoyed by "The Rogers" review below, so I'm countering with this -- True, La Nonna is more of an Italian American place than "authentic" Italian. If you can appreciate the difference and are not an obnoxious snob then you'll like this place. While it originated in 17th century Italy, what pizza is to the world today originated in NYC (Lombardi's 1905). La Nonna is a very good pizzeria and a very good value. If you're not an insufferable culinary academic, then you'll enjoy this place.

Excellent pie.. I'm not kidding if you're hungry choose another place. Doesn't matter if its Mon / Tue early or late it takes FOREVER! You will die of starvation waiting for La Nonna. Best pizza in BK

I am Italian (from Italy no NJ) and even if I wanted to give them a good review 'cause the service is so friendly and the place is really cute. But unfortunatly the food was simply bad, nothing to do with authentic Italian food but more with cheap Italian American pizza parlor. The pizza dough is way to dry, the mozzarella looks and taste like melted wax, the quality of the toppings is all off. The other dishes are simply boring if not bad. There are some very good Italian restaurants here in Williamsburg (aurora, roberta's, PT, Fornino....) so go there and avoid this place.

First of all, the food is amazing. I would eat from there for the food alone. Now, the service is attentive and friendly, everyday they have a number of enticing specials, the price is completely reasonable, and did I mention how good the food is?? They have a front patio, and when it's nice out they open up the front window, creating a lovely ambiance. And they are byob, with no corkage fee, so grab you favorite bottle of wine and go there tonight!

La Nonna is a take out Pizza place that also serves food. You would never guess this place serves such amazing Italian dishes. Everything from their pastas to their chicken/veal dishes to their salads. Their pizzas by the slice are excellent but so are their other dishes. My favorite is their homemade pasta with bolognese sauce. Everything is good here and it's cheap for the quality.

The food was amazing and the service was very geniune and helpful with advice. You can bring your own wine and there is no corking fee! Food takes a while but it is so worth the wait.
