    Not Worthwhile...

I went with a group of friends for a paella and was extremely disappointed. I needed a magnifying glass to find the sea food in the paella.(small tapa quantity) Honestly it was a big rip off. My other friend ordered a rice dish with octopus ink. Absolute

    Favorite Spanish restaurant in city

Wonderful, authentic and non-pretentious! Reminds me of family-owned restaurants in Madrid. The fried alcachofas, plato campero and paella de carne are my favorites. Very recommended.

    Best Spanish in NY Ever

Ive been here many times and it is consistently great every time. Amazingly authentic paella. Just like Spain. If you don't like this restaurant, then you just don't like authentic Spanish cuisine.

    Not recommended

    Once again a treat

Once again, a family member had a memorable birthday dinner. The food is perfect and the service couldn't be better. We've been coming here for one occasion or another for many years and they never disappoint. Thanks...

    There are better options

The short answer is I would not return. The place is very plain, bordering run down. The food was decent, with some dishes being good, and others quite uninspired. The water was absolutely undrinkable, as it reeked of chlorine or a dish rag. The hou

The best Paella this side of the Atlantic

A downscale, sister restaurant of the cramped, crowded and critically acclaimed Socarrat a few blocks north, La Nacional is every bit as good and always easy to get into. The measure of good paella is the rice -- when you'd be happy with nothing but that
