Great night
Walked by a million times over the years, but never when it was open, so when friends invited us out to dinner with a group, I read the reviews and was eager to try this place. What can I say? It was fantastic! We had a group of 12 and were served promptly and courteously. The food was wonderful. I had a steak with garlic and mushroom sauce - it was so big I had another meal out of it the next day! My husband had the steak with blue cheese on it and he was in heaven. The appetizers were all delicious, from the chorizo to my favorite - "alter boys" - figs wrapped in bacon. The sangria, while good, was a bit too sweet for my taste and did not give me the buzz I usually get. However, I have no complaints. The owner, was very friendly and spoke to us and joked around. We closed down the place - we were not rushed out and allowed to enjoy the birthday celebration. We will surely be back!

Tapas and neighborhood charm
You have to sit at the bar, have glasses of Rioja and plate after plate of fantastic tapas. The owner is from Spain, and chatting with him as he refills your glass is what keeps us coming back. My family is from Madrid, so I recognize authentic Spanish food and ambience, and this place is a winner. Very recommended for a laid-back tapas supper. The sopa de ajo and gambas al ajillo or about the best I've come across in New York.

Unassuming spot, exceptional seafood
We walked into this modest looking place recently and sat at the bar, not expecting too much. We ordered a satisfying and inexpensive bottle of red, clams in green sauce, and squid in their own ink. Exceptional! Excluding Casa Mono, it's the best Spanish food I've had in New York. Can't wait to return.

outstanding
The paella is simply the best. I had the paella at Bolo when it was still open and it didn't even come close to La Mancha. The owners are genuinely nice people and always treat their customers like family. This is a great, authentic Spanish restaurant and I highly recommend it.

Best Spanish Food in Brookyn Heights
One word - Yum!! The seafood at this place is amazing - the shrimp with garlic sauce, the squid in black ink, the seafood mix dish, the clams, the cheeses and the paella!! We love this place and this is a real hidden gem. It is a must try for all, especially if you like classic Spanish food, the decor and ambeince of this restaurant is not special however the food makes up for it all.
