I Loev Love Love La Lanterna!

This place is great! Great Food. Friendly Staff. Fabulous Atmosphere. What else could you ask for. I'm in love with the screen house in the back, it's very romantic. Plus the best pecan pie i've ever had in my life!

We call it our "Happy Place"

Since moving to NYC almost 3 yrs ago, I can't even begin to tell you how many times we have been here. It is the best pizza around, they have amazing wines, and lets just say a few pounds of mine are dedicated to the deserts and happy for it. We are always welcomed and remembered which makes going there truely a warm experience. Whenever family or friends come to town, this is where we take them, and it is always a hit. The atmoshere is amazing and many special occasions are enjoyed here. The food menu is limited to fresh pizza, salads, fruit plates, etc., so don't go expecting a 6 course meal or special entrees, that's not what they're about. But they are about incredible quality. We highly recomend this restaurant...GO!!!!

    Nice date spot

I went to La Lanterna with my roommate on July 4th. It was early, so there weren't many customers. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was very good. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list. The food is good, the desserts are awesome, and the atmosphere is beautiful.

    What a find!

So glad we found this place. Two friends and I have been meeting for dinner once or twice a month since last year, and we've been restaurant-hopping, trying to find someplace with the winning combination: excellent food, healthy (-ish) options, excellent value, easily-accessible location, and where no one would bother us if we stayed and chatted for hours. We got all this and the perfect setting (a lovely outdoor patio) at La Lanterna Caffe. No more restaurant-hopping for us. We've found our "regular" place.

    Big on atmosphere but...

My lovely lady and I went here after attempting to find a great pizza joint. So we get there and the place is very cozy, romantic dark and candle lit. I ordered the pizza with the lamb sausage, I forget what she had but the pizza was ok, I expected so much more though.

    Cozy and good food!

Very nice place, I've been to the "top" part for lunch. It is very nice, with two nice fireplaces. I've been to the basement part )walkdown) for dinner and jazz. It was very nice too. Service is good, and food is very good. They have delicious desserts and a good wine list. Recommended for an easy night out, or for an afternoon coffee.

Great pizza, even better than Italy

One of my favorite places to stop by for pizza or have dinner with my cheap friends. They have a great selection of drinks and beverages and an ambience that is hard to find. Very cozy in the winter time. What i dont like is the service. The waiters are slow cant seem to handle a few tables. Really frustrating sometimes. Perhaps im used to good service when i dine out.
