Four of us had lunch in mid-Nov, 2006 and we all found it only so-so. The food was just mediocre, and some things (a very dry chocolate souffle) were almost bad. It's a pretty restaurant, but the tables are too close together (one of us had to keep pushing her chair in and out to let the waiter pass by). Service was very good. Only the prices haven't gone downhill. For this kind of money it should be much much better.

...are the prix fixe lunch portions a wee on the small side for what one pays, my wife wondered? On the other hand, i wanted a Grand Marnier souffle for dessert, it wasn't on the menu, but they made me one anyway.

Every year on my birthday or special event I travel to this most beautiful restaurant. The food and decor are sublime. I prefer the first floor where their gorgeous flower arrangements abound.

The converted brownstone now houses two levels... if you are lucky you get to visit upstairs. The owner of la grenouille also is one of the most renowned flower arrangers in this world and he teaches classes and his creations stand elegant and towering (he sometimes uses full tree branches!) in the restaurant. the food just melts in your mouth and the owner takes the time to meet you and even create a meal based on your tastes. My favorite restaurant in new york...

Dined at La Grenouille for our anniversary. Everything was fantastic. The service was flawless. The portions are just right, so you can splurge on dessert. Compliments to both the chef and the staff for making our experience so special.

This place was wonderful. Everyone was very attentive, they brought out a candle for my Father's birthday. The only negative was the table placement, but everyone had such a great time, we hardly noticed. Restaurant is quiet, but not to the point where you feel uncomfortable having a conversation. Expensive, but the portions were just right, leaving enough room for all three courses. You do not feel like you wasted any food or money. Would definitely go back.

The best restaurant in town. It was breath taking to be around so much beauty. The flowers, the food, the perfect service and the charm of Mr. Masson makes anyone feel special. Just perfect!
