Recently changed hands and not for the better. Streamlined and new crisp uniforms for service staff but portion sizes are down. Cold cuts now pre-sliced sit in stainless steel trays rather than being sliced to order. They never ran out of fresh turkey before. Used to have hand-made turkey burgers ... now pre-made patties. Many of the things that made this the go-spot for lunch are gone, as I expect the new management will be before too long.

Stopped in for some sushi and fruit, left pleased. The fruit selection is nothing different than what you would find in a typical mid-town cafe and was amazingly fresh. I paid $3 and some change, after tax, for a fruit salad. The sushi selection was extensive and fresh. I purchased a spicy tuna roll for $5 and some change, after tax. All in all, the prices were typical for midtown cafes. Since everything I purchased was pre-made (and freshly made considering I went at the top of the lunch rush hour) the service was quick and easy. I was in and out in less than 1 minute. I sat at the tables they have outside and watched the people in the library next door. 59th street between Park and Lex is a generally quiet block, its a refreshing atmosphere to escape the shopping hustle and bustle only 20 yards away from where I sat. I recommend this place if you're looking for a cheap, healthy and fresh lunch.

Always fresh varitety on the steam table and outstanding daily favorites. I eat lunch here at least once a week, sometimes more. Easily my favorite lunch spot anywhere around 59th & Lex (make that non-Sushi lunch spot). Always good value, always good service.
