    Mouth watering good

I've tried their mother restaurant, despana and really enjoyed it, but never tried the take outs, because it was small and always crowded. But there is a reason, it's so crowded. The food is that good. I had a vegetarian taco, and normally i'm not a fan, but the filling was really tasteful and flavorful. I can't wait to go back.

    Poor service and poor food

This was one of the most subpar meals I have ever had. First of all the service was really poor. The waiters act as if they are doing you a favor and treat you like you are below them. The waiters didn't even ask us once if we were ok. Also after the dinner, they never asked us how was the food. They were more interested in giving us the check, so they could see how much they would be making from the tip. Now the food. No taste, bland and lacking overall presentation. The lump crab meat was right out of the can. Flaky and non existant. Lump was more like glump. The whole prawns had no taste at all. One would think with the head and shell on this would be amazing, but it fell flat in so many ways. Pork tacos were also disappointing . The texture of the cripsy pork was missing and the corn tortilla shell lacking flovor. The skirt steak was about 4 oz. of steak. The only one decent thing to be served at the table was cricket tacos. yes cricket tacos.

we ladies got our drink on!

Met a bunch of my girlfriends there last night. The food was good but the drinks made the night! we had a bunch of margaritas and the bartender was hot! try their margaritas with Combier Triple Sec. SOO GOOD and the bartender said it was all natural...could explain why i dont feel as shtty as i normally feel the morning after going out:). -jenn

    What happened?

This place was so fun couple of years ago. Now it seems the servers think they are doing you a favor and the food has fallen off. Will not be back.

    so cute and delicious

Went with a large group for a birthday dinner. The food was all fantastic (except for the sirloin steak...didn't love it)...the pork taquitos were one of the best things I have eaten in a long time. Great place, can't wait to go back.

    Not worth the 'tude

I was there twice about 1.5 - 2 years ago. I guess it was a somewhat well-kept secret at that point because it wasn't terribly hard to get a reservation. The food was very good - still not my favorite Mexican place in town though. On the last visit, we were having a great time until we were told "We're starting to get crowded, we're going to need this table." Big mistake. Not only had we ordered tons of food, but my boyfriend and his friend are huge Tequila aficionados and would have continued to sample the pricey drinks. I decided to roll the dice again a couple of weeks ago so that I could introduce another friend to the place. I called on Friday to make a res. and was told to call back on Monday. I called on Monday and was told to call the following Friday. Called on Friday and was told to "call back tomorrow." When I politely pointed out that the res. line is not open on weekends, I was hung up on.
