Can we all agree that the staff sucks

La casa Del Mofongo Is a very nice place BUT.... The staff (waiters, security and bartenders) are very rude and i believe that for the amount of People that go there they do not have enough staff. I think that is not to safe; there were people arguing at the bar and it escalated to a fight outside the restaurant which security was kind of instigating... what really got me was that after the fight they let the part of the fighting party back into the restaurant making it unsafe for the rest of us.

    Really good, worth it

The mofongo was really good, i had it with Bacalao, which was excellent. The atmosphere is nice but Crowded. The wait staff was kind of rude and my waitress disappeared. we had to beg for the check. Overall the food is really good and worth the waiters.

makes u feel like your in el mismisimo campo!

if you ever been to the dominican republic, and gone to restaurants in the cibao region of the pennisula, you will find that la casa del mofongo duplicates the atmosphere, everytime i go it makes me feel like im there, you just have to be careful in what you oder, dont order anything that you wouldn't normaly get at the dominican rep. because its not good, i have 3 complaints so far, my fried calamaried were good but they had no cocktail sauce, they kept bringing me ketchup and mayonasse, my grilled chicken ceasar salad was warm, and my grilled chicken quesadilla, had pillo guisado, no sour cream guacamole, nor salsa. so there u go, that why they call it la casa del mofongo aka mofongo house.

    Best mofongo!

This place has the best mofongo. My favorite is the mini camarofongo appetizer... but I have to tell you, my waitress was not friendly at all. For someone in the service industry she was visibly annoyed when I asked her questions about the menu and then when I asked for more water 2x during the meal. You'd think she'd be used to it. Great mofongo. Excellent mofongo! Divine mofongo!!! The service, however, is lacking.

    don't go for breakfast

1st of all i went for breakfast and the only thing they serve is mango the waiters do not attend the tables as they should and the mofongo is so over rated i prefer malecon seriously dont go the sauce for the mofongo is like a bean sauce instead of the regular carne de res sauce plus its expensive

Good place to go with ur friends!

I went with my friends (who are colombians by the way) and they said that the mofongo was really good. but of course, what do they know if they are not dominicans. im dominican and i can tell you that it was amazing!! service was also good. we had to wait a little bit for the food to come out but, besides that, food just was great!! the place its also nice and a little fancy but, not as much! prices are also good. i truly recommend the place to go eat and chat for a lttle bit. enjoy!!
