La casa Del Mofongo Is a Restaurant that serves great Food. The Food is Delicious! I have been there more than enough times and Every time the food is Wonderful. Unfortunately the service is not good. The Waiters/Waitress always take too long to approach your table and to take your order. Also waiting for the food is an eternity. Even when you call the waitstaff to your table you have to wait 5-10 min for them to finally approach you. Also if you are looking for a quiet place do not come to this restaurant because the music is always loud to the max... And they tend to have live shows as well. Last but not least the food can be a bit pricey considering that you are in 183rd and st Nicholas and that you are paying for regular Dominican food that you can get for a cheaper price and the same taste at any other Restaurant in Washington Heights. Ohh And I almost forget about the drinks....They are horrible. Thanks

The atmosphere at this place can be extremely loud so it might be a bit overwhelming. The staff is not friendly and come across as they dont want to help you with the order. But The food is great especially the mofongos. The soups, the salcocho and oxtail. Can't comment on the rest. Price is great for the value of the food. They do Delivery which is quite fast. overall great food!

I've been to this place quite a few times and the food is always served fast, delicious and hot. I don't know where some people are used to eating out, or why they don't know how to tip, but $200 for 6 people is CHEAP, and a $20 tip for that bill is HORRIBLE. They should have been expecting to pay more than $200 for 6 ppl and they should learn that 20% is the proper and educated way to tip. Go to Mofongo House, you'll love it.

I was trying to get delivery and my total was $ 9.75 so for .25 they wouldn't deliver. They wanted me to order something else in order to get it delivered. Horrible! I order and go there all the time...not anymore.

After eating this mofongo I'm officially a mofongera! I will be eating here again. The service was not bad, we were seated right away and was served quickly. I had the Shrimp mofongo and my friend had the Pernil both were very good. The atmosphere was nice but a bit loud the restaurant was packed and the bar area was crowded . Would suggest arriving.

I"ve been to this place a couple of times and the food is great...Its never been the case that I didnt like it.The waiters are OK, but the food and ambiance overides that. The waiting time can become long, but its worth the wait. the mofongos are dellicious and the sauce is great.
