    waste of time and money

went out with friends for a birthday, would never go back or recommend anybody to go there. There was one, yes you heard me right one waiter, who was frankly rude and pushy, constantly pestering and nagging us for our order, in a word, unprofessional. The food, nothing major at all, not something you would expect from a fancy place in the city, rather something you could pick up at a local Kosher takeout and horribly overpriced!

    Fair and far too expensive

We were a party of 4 for dinner...The prime rib came well done to the point that it was barely edible...The 2 steaks Au poivre was nowhere au poivre and came with a sweet sauce..Only the french fries were above average.. The desserts were fair. The wine is quite expensive and very limited. Although Kosher we will not return,

    Very disappointed

We went to La Carne Grill to celebrate my birthday. We were so disappointed. The ambience was fair, the tables crowded together, and the menus were paper of the type you might see in a deli. The service was mediocre and I had to ask several times for a water refill and for other condiments. The appetizers were good. We had the duck empanadas, the sweetbreads, and the short rib spring rolls. The appetizers should have come with magnifying glasses. We could not really share them, because the portions were so small. The steaks were good, but not exceptional. I asked for very rare and my daughter asked for medium well and the meat was the same for both of us. The waiter brought a sauce for the steaks, but didn't tell us what steaks it was supposed to accompany. The onion rings that came with the steak had almost a "freezer burned" taste. The desserts were very good, especially the "parfait" with passionfruit and raspberries. Overall, if you are going to have a special evening where you are going to be dropping a lot of bucks, choose another place.

    Super! Loyal customers!

We eat there every other Sunday evening. They, bar none, have the best Kosher Sushi in town. We do not eat much meat, and the cooked fish as well is always fresh and cooked to perfection. On the rare occasion that my husband will order a steak it is always delicious. The service is super and they have several rooms to choose from. We recommend it highly!

    Never Again.

My husband and I were there last night, with two friends. Baby spinach salad was gooey, sauce was too thick and there was too much of it. My husband had something they called "seviche" as an appetizer. That was no seviche. It was bad sashimi. No citrus what so ever. I ordered the rack of lamb chops. 52$ for a huge lump of tasteless mashed potatoes and 4 tiny bite-size lamb chops, which I had a hard time locating on my plate. This is the first time I actually finish my plate (in 4 bites!) (and still hungry!). Desert would have been all right if the waiter didn't pick-up the plate when half of it was still left. He was in a hurry to get home...

    Nice Try-No Cigar

We took our sons out for their special birthday in anticipation of a wonderful kosher restaurant. Bluntly, we were very disappointed. The service was fine, a little stiff and the atmosphere noveau Italian, but the overpriced food was a joke. We tried virtually all the appetizers and nothing stood out. The worst part of the dinner was we all ordered top of the line steaks and some came cooked incorrectly. The waiter came and gave the wrong steaks to the wrong people. One of our group had to wait half an hour and sent the steak back 3 times until he got what he ordered- basic medium rare. The desserts were passable with no outstanding item- we ordered 5 of them. The wines were fair, no great help from the waiter in choosing them. Save your money for another restaurant or buy the steaks and grill them your self. This restaurant is crossed off our list!

    Best kosher meal meal ever!

I took my daughter and four of her friends here for dinner in March, 2005, where we treated to one of the best kosher meal meals ever. Their wine list was wonderful and they offered a wide variety on their menu. When one steak dish came to the table too well-done, the waiter apologized, ordered another one and it came cooked to perfection. Yes, it's expensive, but for a special occasion, it's worth the price.
