Bad pork dumplings
I ordered here after a feature in New York Magazine. I ordered steamed vegetable dumplings but was told only the pork dumplings were available, so I went with those. I also ordered camarones (shrimp) con tofu. I live fewer than 10 blocks away, but I was still very impressed with the 12 minute delivery time. The dumplings were horrible. The dumpling wrappers were fine, but the filling was grey and tasteless. However, the entree was delicious. My delivery came with a roll and butter, which I thought was odd. If it hadn't been for the dumplings, I would have given at least 4 stars.

Don't bother
Just so-so at best. The black beans and rice was okay but the rest of it was not very good. I wouldn't go back. There are a lot better options.

you guys are hating!
First of all there are three maybe four things on the menu they do well and they do them real well- pork chops, chicharon de pollo, avocado salad, rice and beans, and sometimes the roast pork or steak and peppers and onions. These are tried and true standbys at a place I consider an uws institution. Go there for these things and these things only and don't complain about the mediocre chinese fare on the menu that you shouldn't have ordered in the first place.

Won Ton Soup
Every since this place was cut in half, the quality of its food was reduced by half. The won ton soup smelled and tasted like it was fermenting-- the beef was cooked and recooked- old and tough. The yellow rice was ok, but who can't make rice with yellow dye? My advice, stay away!
