I work in the area and avoid this place most of the time. The pasta and Italian dishes are subpar at best. Generic pasta sauce and tiny pices of meat are what is to be expected. Price is way over the top for the portion/quality. The pizza on the other hand is acceptable. Not even close to what I would call the best, but of you are looking for a decent slice of pizza your in luck. Its not like there is too much competition pizza wise in the immediate area, so they win by default.

My family and I have had dinner at La Bellla Stella and our experience has been outstanding. I strongly recommend the food, and the service was impeccable,

I came with a large group and the manager immediately made outrageous demands, knowing that we could not go anywhere else on short notice. He refused to serve us tap water (illegally) and forced us to purchase bottled water. He refused to let us order pizza, forcing us to pay for full "Italian" meals like pasta and salads, which were drastically subpar. Meanwhile, he excused himself by acting as if he were bending over backward for us, including claiming that the place would be packed because of an auto show, when the dining room never reached a level beyond half full. I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs, as the manager was rude and the food is not even average.

After a long stroll through the javits center car show, I decided to have some tasty italian dinner. The closest and most appealing place was La Bella Stella. I walked in and was greeted with kind and courteuos staff waiting to serve me. I sat down in the relaxed environment and enjoyed my meal to the fullest. The pasta had a different kick to it, like my grandmother used to make. I would gladly recommend it to my friends and family for some good classic italian food.
