    Very disappointing

Food was cold, order was incorrect, experience not a good one. Do not recommend.

    Lousy reservation policy

Unfortunately, I can't review the food or drink at this restaurant, because they cancelled my reservation - a reservation I made 5 days before the scheduled dinner! I called 2 days after making it to reconfirm, and was told I was definitely in the book. At 9pm (!) the night before, I received a phone call saying they were overbooked and would need to cancel my reservation for the next night. When I asked how this happened, I was told they have no control over the number of people who book online. I feel like I was punished for calling instead of using the website. When I pointed out that we had made plans and were looking forward to eating there, I was told we could come and sit in the bar and see if something opens up. I'm not going to waste my time that way. I've never heard of a restaurant doing this - and like a previous reviewer, I also received no apology.

    Subpar experience

Made reservations for 8. Received a confirmation call & e-mail, and then at 7pm on the day of the scheduled reservation, got a call saying they're overbooked and can't seat us until at least 10. The food was terrible, greasy and room temperature. When I tasted the wine I complained that it tasted like vinegar and had obviously been stored at WAY too high a temperature, the waiter said "well I already opened the bottle so it'll be on your bill whether you drink it or not. want to order another one?" That's when I asked for the manager, who essentially said the same thing. My bill, over $250 for a party of 3, none of whom enjoyed the experience or the food...

They can't even hold a reservation

So I made reservations to this place via OpenTable. Got a confirmation. Then got a call, 45 minutes prior to my scheduled reservation, saying that they didn't have any free tables because too many walk-ins came in, and so my reservation was being cancelled. Not delayed, but cancelled! No apology. No offer of a complimentary appetizer on my next visit, but just outright cancelled! Don't even bother making reservations there. Eat at a place that values your business!

    Super duper

Working near by I had to try it - not much i can say besides a great place to hold a meeting, i actually forgot my notepad and one of the lovely waitresses brought one right out from the office, awesome. The food - you just don't expect a midtown spot hidden on 39th to be that good. And oh the one place that does NOT switch the top shelf out when having specials.

Great Hearty Food and very French service

The waiters reminded me of France entirley. Some of them were helpful, others intended to be helpful, yet were in fact were single mindedly focused on their goals: weather it be giving me a check because our waitress was leaving before desert or simply interruping conversation to ask if we needed anything else. Their hearts were ina good place... I had the green salad complimented with warm goat cheese: my favorite part... Of coure we had the snails which tasted like mushrooms encrusted in a puff pastry The lamb: amazing!! The sea bass: ok Tarimius: ok Lattee: wondeful! Oveall the food was hearty...generally the heavier and heartier the choice, the better the food...you know the french its all about the meat!

    Amazing!

First off, I have to say that this restaurant blew me away. It had to be one of the best meals I had in a while. I would recommend the french onion soup or the salmon tartare to start off with and any one of their entrees. My co-workers first spotted this place walking down 39 street. It had a lit up christmas tree in front of it which really caught our attention. We walked in and right away felt the romantic ambiance that really set the tone for this French Bistro. We were seated by a hot waitress and had great service throughout the night. The prices were very reasonable considering the restaurants location and decor. This place is an ideal spot for business meetings, dates or any type of intimate setting. The food was unbelievable. Definitely a place I will continue to revisit and enjoy.
