Overrated
Went to this place after reading the reviews, but sad to say, it was way overrated. The food was uninspired, and the ceviche was too lime-y. Barro Chino across the street is much better (and more crowded).

Good, but not amazing
The restaurant was good, but I wouldn't consider it as highly rated as the previous reviews.

Great ceviche, great value
We're from L.A., where we eat a lot of Mexican food. La Barra's is excellent, and the ceviche is the best we've had anywhere, including Mexico. A warm, personable atmosphere and great value, too.

Buenisimo!
Tasty Mexican food and friendly guys behind La Barra make this a welcome spot in the LES. The Guacamole and black beans with mole and cheese rock!

the best place for celiacs!
I am a celiac and was delighted with LA BARRA'S menu! Glutenfree ceviches! Glutenfree pozole! Flourless chocolate cake! What a treat! Great atmosphere! Great service! Lovely crowd! I'll be back!
