Poor customer relations
The food is fine for a bagel shop, but the customer relations leave much to be desired. If they make a mistake you will pay. This is one place where the customer is never right.

Good but not great
It's good if you're in DUMBO and want a bagel, in fact it's the only place to get a decent bagel in DUMBO.

La Bagel, La Delight!
For a bagel/sandwich place, you really can't get any better than La Bagel...the place is just so good! Their everything bagels are the best I've had in the NYC area. They have an awesome lunch special, soup and half a bagel for only $3.50...they chicken chili is amazing, btw! I didn't even know they had cheeseburgers until about a month ago, and they are delicious too. Don't forget to check out their fries, they are amazing! All the guys that work here are incredibly nice and funny and genuinely seem to enjoy working at the bagel. They make it worthwhile to come in each morning/afternoon!

My Go-To-Restaurant in DUMBO
For breakfast there isn't anything around the area that is better, and if you can find a better burger in the afternoon you have to let me know because i'm eating there twice a week these days. The grill closes early though and there is no where to sit if you go. You're going to have to take it to the park across the street or back to the office. The guys working there are always down to have a good conversation about sports and sometimes politics and after the second or third time there they'll recognize you.
