almost good as the original
Living in NYC, I missed my island food and everytime I went back home, I would stop at either Zippy's or L&L. Now, I don't have to fly 5000 miles to get it. Overall, this place rocks.

*Authentic hawaiian food*
To those not understanding the logic many have previously posted - Hawaii, amazingly enough, is not a gigantic tourist farm. We actually do live and shop and have children and whatnot, and L&L is the only place that I can get some of the Hawaiian food I loved while I was there. And, just to make it clear, I **am** Hawaiian, and the food is very distinct, and L&L does a great job of translating it out so far from home. The Spam Musabi is excellent, the chicken is amazing, and it's all around great food. No contest.

Delicious
Loved the food... would have liked to try the aloha drink but it was sold out.

Not like anything on Maui or Hawaii
This is not like anything on Maui or Hawaii in general. L and L is on Maui but started on Oahu. It is not like Oahu or Maui. The food is not flavorful and is overly greasy. The pork is overly dry and the chicken has no flavor. The only thing I have to say that is good is the mac potatoe salad.

Ono grinds
This place, despite the weirdly impersonal/cold financial district locale, will bring a smile to your face and an aloha to your stomach. They even carry the delicious local "Aloha Maid" fruity drinks that are impossible to find on the mainland (or so I thought). I often ate at L&L for years when living on Maui, so I can vouch that this is EXACTLY like the L&L food back in Hawaii! If you are missing local food, you will love it. Don't listen to the foodies on this website who say it isn't good. They don't know what they're talking about (sorry, foodies).
