This place is way past its prime. It was good years ago. The Sicilian is WAy WAy Overrated all they care about is pumping pies out not quality.

Years ago it was the best pizza in south brooklyn.. Now they don't ven bother cooking the dough. The food is really greasy- but at least they don't microwave the riceballs like the other pizzarias around here.

If this place is gourmet, someone doesn't know the meaning of the word. I hadn't been here in about 8 years, and it has gone downhill. The outside "garden" is a cement patio bordered by a chain link fence. The chairs and tables look like they have never been cleaned. Even outside is loud and obnoxious people smoke on the other side of the fence, inches from you. I ordered eggplant parm, The eggplant wasn't pre-fried, or breaded, so it was sort of boiled in marinara, but covered in a ton of cheese. The pizza is pizza- nothing to write home about. I'm Italian- this is not well-crafted food. there is no attempt made to make anything well, just cheesy and loaded in tasteless sauce. This place needs a major overhaul. You can't coast forever, but I would spend my dining dollars elsewhere.

The Baked Clams are amazing. The Linguini & White Clam Sause is the best I ever had. Needless to say the square slice pizza is off the charts. Dessert is also great

My last few trips back to NY get more disappointing after visiting L & B. I keep going back making believe it will taste like it did with the original owners and kitchen staff. alas, i am wrong.

I'm eating here as I'm typing this review. The place has turned into a dump. Been here 10 years ago and the service and quality of food was much better. They hired a bunch of morons who don't know what their doing. The chef ( bunch of Mexicans with no formal training) can't make food for dear life. The marinara sauce is plain, I had to add salt n pepper ( a lot) to give it some flavor. The sausage-peppers-onion dish.... Blah. Who takes a sausage and serves it butterfly style? My dad ordered French fries, they bring his veal frachese and 15 mins later comes his French fries after he told 3 people "where r they, no one serves an entree with no side dish". Bottom line don't come here for tasty Italian food. This place got bad really bad.
