USPS should cede their slogan to Kyoto
They delivered as the world was going to hell during the windiest hours of Sandy. Major props to the staff and the poor soaked delivery man. As for the food, the sushi is usually very fresh, and the hot and sour miso soup is delicious.

Delivery only, and the sushi is still warm
Sushi taste the best immediately after it's prepared. On occasion they are so quick with their delivery that the rice is still warm! I anticipate that during each order. My usual is the special maki combo with salad. I don't eat raw so I substitute the crunchy salmon with the crunchy kani instead at no extra charge. The rolls are big, I'm usually stuffed after my second roll, but that's never stopped me from devouring the last roll. I have no idea what the decor looks like since I have only ever order by phone. They are quick (it would take me 10 mins to walk there by foot) and I've had my doorbell rung within 10 minutes sometimes.

Failed to meet expectations
We tried this restaurant because of the glowing reviews here on MP. We were disappointed. Perhaps the fact that the restaurant was virtually empty was a sign. The miso soup was fine. Miso soup always is fine. Salty broth, some tofu, a bit of seaweed, maybe a mushroom. In contrast, the salad was almost comical. A bowl of bitter and wilting iceberg covered in Japanese dressing does not a passable salad make. How about a cherry tomato or a couple of carrot slices? As for the beef teriyaki box: n the beef was very tough, as in like leather; n the spring roll was excessively greasy; it should have been drained and perhaps kept warm under the salamander; n the California roll did not seem fresh; n the edamame (so impossibly difficult to prepare) were ok. My SO’s veggie sushi was not to her liking. Again, it was kind of flat and lacking freshness. Kyoto is basically another mediocrity in the NY sushi/Japanese food scene. We won’t be back.

Great
I order from here at least once a week and I am never disappointed! The sushi is always fresh and everything tastes great. The service is fast and friendly. Once of the best japanese restaurants in the neighborhood!

Tasty, friendly, awesome!
This is by far the best sushi restaurant in the neighborhood. Whether you eat in in their cozy dining room, or order for delivery, their staff is always polite and attentive. Phone ordering is easy and pleasant, since after you call once they have your address saved for easy reordering. The food is always fresh and tasty and we've never waited longer than 25 minutes for delivery! Please frequent this restaurant as they deserve business!

best sushi place in the neighborhood
Food is always great both in and delivery. We order rolls and hot meals from them and are always happy with the results. Very organized in taking an order. Quick, always nice. Service is always great. They made great recommendations for us as well. Just a well run shop with really great sushi and other foods, priced lower than most of the other similar places in town.

fresh and fast
Delivery was really fresh and fast. The place is very small but i'd like to dine in once. I think the take sushi is better and cheaper than Ki.
