Though I think Bozu's sushi is slightly better, if you want sushi *delivered* in Williamsburg, Kyoto is hands-down the best. My girlfriend and I order from them at least 3 times a week. I'm mystified by the negative reviews on this site. The sushi's always been fresh, the delivery prompt and friendly. The specialty rolls are terrific, especially the Orange Submarine and the creatively spicy Firefighter Maki (not on the online menu). Also, unlike most restaurants in the neighborhood, they link all of your info to your # via caller ID, saving regular customers from the Groundhog Day-esque experience of repeating the same details each order anew, waiting while they decide if they'll deliver to you, etc. If you want Sushi delivered and you live anywhere in Williamsburg or Greenpoint, this is the place to order from, end of story.

I'm surprised by the bad reviews. The food has always been great - whether I eat in or get it delivered. It's alwasy fresh and delicious.

Not good. The Sushi is just not good. Not the rolls, not the sushi. Not fresh. For people who don't have a fine sense of Japanese food.

Ordered delivery and the experience was almost a nightmare. I wait for an hour and they kept telling me my delivery was on the way. When I got the order it was all wrong and the sushi was not good at all. The first and the last. I will never order from this place again.

I had ordered before, and it wasn't bad, and it was brought to me - but last night we had a variety of rolls and such. From the miniature and not particulary fresh sashimi to the hard and inedible salmon skin to the grey gyoza it was a flop.

I live close by. I am confused about all of the in between reviews, while I agree about the mayo, one of the things I really enjoy is that I can always change my order to suit my taste and they LISTEN and work accordingly. I have never had old vegetables or fruit there, and when I have tried to get something that is out of season, they have been upfront about only wanting to give me what's fresh and offering alternatives. Maybe it has to do with knowing how to order, but I take all of my friends here, 4 of which are either from Japan or lived there and they have really enjoyed it. They remember my favorite orders and always keep my drinks filled when I come in and offer tea. There are so many roll choices that you are bound to find something you like unless you are just a "CA roll person." I add and subtract from rolls because I am picky, and there is never a problem about it or an attitude. The inside of the restaurant is a little small, but I enjoy my food if I dine in or order out, so no big deal. I have been surprised by how often I try a piece of a friend's roll and like it. If you know what you like, just ask for it. I am happy to have a place in the neighborhood where I can take friends and always have them enjoy it. We went twice just this last week.

I have been a sushi snob for at least 10 years, have dated hardcore sushi snobs who educated me on how to eat sushi and what an authentic sushi-eating experience is. I basically lived off this place the entire winter when I had a bad break-up. Worth it. Large portions, always fresh, lovely people. My favorite sushi is still in New Orleans, but this is a wonderful second best for a simple, trustworthy sushi experience. Delivery only.
