I was pretty disappointed in Kyoto's food. Most of the reviews were positive, but I found the food to be quite mediocre. My rolls were drenched in sauce and soggy. My husband got chicken katsu (a dish he gets often in other Japanese restaurants). I have never seen chicken katsu made in this way. Lucky he's not that picky, but it definitely was not the way it's supposed to be. I will not be ordering from them again.

If I could I would order from here everyday. I have never had an experience where the sushi wasn't fresh, and I get food from here very frequently. Well worth the money!

All around really solid. Order from there all the time. Very fast and reliable. Sushi is always good.

I love all the reviews that say...if you have a fine Japanese palate or if you know good Japanese...blah blah blah. This place is hands down the best in Greenpoint for delivery. For dine in, it doesn't have the ambiance of other fancier places, but it's adequate. I've only eaten in there twice. I'd rather them concentrate on the food and have decent prices. I have been a regular customer since they opened. Only once have I had subpar rolls and a spilled miso. The delivery guys are always nice and food that is supposed to be hot is hot and cold is cold. And it's quick.

If its late at night and you are craving some sub-par sushi for a snack, then by all means order from this place. If you are a sushi snob, who likes fresh sushi with good seafood, etc, then save yourself the disappointment and do not order from here. This is below average sushi at its best. The seaweed salad tasted like I could have bought it at a supermarket, sushi was not fresh and some of the rolls where coming apart. Side order of white rice was lumpy. Definitely will not be calling back. I will say the service and delivery where good.

Though I think Bozu's sushi is slightly better, if you want sushi *delivered* in Williamsburg, Kyoto is hands-down the best. My girlfriend and I order from them at least 3 times a week. I'm mystified by the negative reviews on this site. The sushi's always been fresh, the delivery prompt and friendly. The specialty rolls are terrific, especially the Orange Submarine and the creatively spicy Firefighter Maki (not on the online menu). Also, unlike most restaurants in the neighborhood, they link all of your info to your # via caller ID, saving regular customers from the Groundhog Day-esque experience of repeating the same details each order anew, waiting while they decide if they'll deliver to you, etc. If you want Sushi delivered and you live anywhere in Williamsburg or Greenpoint, this is the place to order from, end of story.

I'm surprised by the bad reviews. The food has always been great - whether I eat in or get it delivered. It's alwasy fresh and delicious.
