Another reviewer mentioned that they get a little crazy with the japanese mayo. He's not kidding, it's out of control - really overpowers a lot of the dishes. Aside from that I'm a big fan. The only thing letting down the service is the phone ordering, which is authentic, I guess, in that the nice lady seems to have no idea what you're saying and has had to have someone take over the process half way through, every single time.

Best overall value and quality in the greenpoint/willyburg area. Highly recommended and boy do we eat alot of sushi!

We order from Kyoto the same night every week for the past year and a half or so. We used to go there every week but then we moved and now we get delivery. The staff is very nice, and I have never been let down so far in my 50 plus weeks. When you go to the restaurant they refill your delicious green tea until your hearts content and when you get delivery it is super fast. I look forward to Kyoto night every week.

I keep giving this place a chance when I have a hankering for sushi. It's nearby. But, boy do they get it wrong continuously. An avocado salad consists of iceberg lettuce smothered in sweet japanese mayo and old avocados. It's simply disgusting. The fish isn't so bad but a bit mushy and cut too large. And everything has too much of the disgustingly sweet japanese mayo on it. Major improvement needed. I'm completely disappointed and angry that I spent 28$ on a handroll, an iceberg lettuce mayo old avacado salad, and 3 pieces of toro cut too large.

i'm known for being picky and harsh when it comes to mediocre food, and to be honest, i wasn't expecting much from a random order from kyoto one rainy afternoon when stuck at home. well, i felt like a real heel because everything i ordered was fantastic! the quality of the fish is top-notch, the service always very fast, and the delivery guy exceedingly friendly. i think it was on christmas eve that they even delivered me a free bottle of sake as a gift. consider me a fan. i recommend the spicy salmon hand roll - always bursting with tons of spicy salmon and well seasoned. the lunch specials are generously sized and the prices are reasonable. i think i just convinced myself to go over budget for the week and order lunch from here today. hey, why not!

Kyoto is awesome. Friendly staff, excellent food. We order from here about once a week but have never been to the restaurant (which is why I gave it a 4 above...I honestly just don't know what it looks like). We always order the refreshment maki and loads of sashimi. The yellowtail is usually particularly good. Great value, excellent food, nicely presented and a huge variety. So good that we won't even take the chance to order sushi from anywhere else.

Hey you yeah you... sitting there browsing Menu Pages , looking for something new and delicious to eat, welp do yourself a favor and order from Kyoto, they rock thats all ill say but lemme help you with your first time ordering, but lemme say, anything you order from here is fresh and delish. Every month they invent new delicious rolls that have never disappointed. Spicy crunchy Combo ask for it crunchy its like 4 tuna rolls for 12 bucks cant be beat. Spicy scallop, omg i order like 4 of these they rock. Fire Phoenix Roll delicious i can go on and on just marvelous they rock i love you Kyoto.
