    over rated, expensive

i went having read it was the best sushi place in NYC; is not bad but is not the best and is over rated and expensive; Maria is fun (the only female and Latin sushi chef i have ever met!) but neither she nor her master and restaurant owner are the best

Best sushi master for the past 32 years

    The best for traditional sushi

Yes, this is one of the most expensive sushi restaurants in NYC, but it's also one of the best (if not "the" best). It's simple, paired down and very traditional. You won't find ostentatious rolls with crunchy bits of this or spicy bits of that. There'

    Simply, the best

The best sushi I have experienced in Manhattan so far. This place is NOT about being ostentatious or showy. If you are looking for a commercialized, overproduced sushi experience, you simply won't find it here. Pricey, but here in this case, you defin

    the best, bar none

The best sashimi and sushi bar none...including any other big name chef in NYC and LA or San Fran. I have only eaten omakase selections at the bar...never off the menu so I cannot comment on that...but if you want to splurge...the best selection of quali

    My Favorite

Easily one of the places in the city to get the best sushi. Despite the reviews, it is possible to enjoy Kuruma on a budget. I've also come here for dinner and gone a little more crazy then normal, and it was worth it. I come here regularly and the food i
