If you are hungry, dont go here

Not to borrow from the great mind of Yogi Berra, but if you are really hungry you can't go to this restaurant because the service is ridiculously slow. We arrived to a fairly empty restaurant and didn't get a morsel of food delivered for 45 minutes. We went here based upon the very strong reviews written in MenuPages. I guess I should have interpreted "not rushed" to mean no food! When the food finally arrived it had issues too. The salmon was way undercooked and the lamb shank was pedestrian at best. Next time I am in the upper 90's, I wont be giving this place a second chance...

    Great Food!

I came to Kurio for dinner based on all the good reviews, and I was glad I did. Food was excellant! I had the beef empanadas (tasted fresh) to start and husband had the lamb shank, which he enjoyed. I had the chicken fried steak , which was very good and I would definitely get it again. Portions here are a good size.

    Consistantly good

I took my parents here last weekend. They practically licked the plate of the braised lamb shanks. The chef made me a shrimp burrito which is not on the menu that was so good you would smack your granny. For apps we had the grilled chorizo, tomato , feta and cucumber salad, and the white bean salsa with homemade tortilla chips . . . all were awsome. To wash it down we had a killer chianti and as always top of the line martinis.

    Absolutely hooked...

Per a recommendation from a coworker, my roomate and I went for a drink last night and fell in love with this place. In a neighborhood full of predictable menus, Kuria offers a variety of unique dishes-- understandably since she is influenced by her West Indie/ Japanese/ Spanish parents. Oh, and believe me the mojitos are reason enough to try it out... Enjoy!

    EXCELLENT

My boyfriend and I came across this place on Menupages and decided to try it out based on the positive reviews and the interesting menu. The service was great and the food was excellent. The environment was relaxed and pleasant; we never felt rushed. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

    I love this place

My ex-wife found this restaurant, but now it's all mine. I can't say how many people I have referred to Kurio in the past 3 years. In my humble opinion, this is one of the best eating spots in the city. Did I mention the drinks, China the owner is the best bartender, and her mojitos and famous.
