Kumo is my favorite place to get sushi on the UWS. The prices are good and the sushi is well-made. I'm not sure where some of these reviews are coming from- I've eaten a lot of sushi in my life and I've never gotten something from Kumo that was "low quality." The fish is always fresh, the atmosphere is very pleasant, and the staff are always attentive and friendly. I highly recommend Kumo.

Our first time tonight and we truly enjoyed all you can eat sushi and the excellent selection of special rolls. My wife tried the salmon terriyaki and said it was very good. Service was enthusiastic and sushi chefs were fun and skilled. We will be back.

Eat there at least 1 a week the sushi is fresh and excellent the chefs do a great job and they take great pride. This restaurant is not one of those big time sushi name ones but you can get excellent sushi for a decent price, also they have an all you can eat menu that is out of this world

As a devotee and weekly client of Kinoko (Kumo's predecessor), I am delighted to report that Kumo has vastly improved the old decor and has kept up the high standard of quality and freshness of the food. The waitstaff isn't quite as friendly or compentent (Lord knows, there's no one left who speaks Japanese!) but Kumo is definitely the best bargain on the Upper West Side. In fact, I'm headed there tonight!

So I just moved to the UWS a month or two ago and I'm always on the look out for my go to delivery sushi place. While Kumo's service is great and the delivery is totally speedy, the sushi is kind of blah. I'll give it another try, but I'm fairly sure that this isn't going to be my new place.

I love this place! No complaints. Sushi is fresh and always well-made. I disagree with the person who said the fish is low quality- I've consistently enjoyed everything I've ever gotten from Kumo. Recommendation: the ginza roll. Staff are super nice and friendly. I've since moved to a different neighborhood but still return to Kumo- can't find a place as good in my new area!

Missing Kinoko's marinated mushroom sushi I thought i'd give this place a try. While the décor is a delightful change and the staff was brimming with energy and having fun at their jobs, I could not and would not finish my meal there. The fish was subpar - fresh though it may have been, it was of obvious poor quality.
