It's been hustle and bustle in this place since it opened in the mid 70's. Kum Kau has gone through several renovations and expanded it's dining room. It out of this park, good stuff. Worth the trip. Great food. What the others around the neighborhood strive to be. Don't bother trying any of the others out. Their's no point. I've made trips from New Jersey to eat at this place!

Honestly, the best chinese-american food in brooklyn. Pickup only (there's an eat-in seating area, but most people pick-up - no delivery). The fact that there's no delivery and yet it's still crowded all the time shows you that it's some of the freshest chinese food around. You can actually identify what you're eating - it's not smothered in goo (unless it's moo goo gai pan). Get the general tso's shrimp...super freakin' yummy.

Really good Chinese-American food. Not authentic in any way, but if you want something like general tso's chicken, then this place is perfect. I think the food is very fresh, reasonably priced and much less greasy than the other Chinese take-out joints on Myrtle. I don't even know why you'd go anywhere else in the neighborhood, frankly. Head's up: unfortunately, they don't deliver. I think it's because they know their food is good enough that people will come for pick up. Not to mention it's already insanely busy during dinner time. On Wednesday at lunch they have an all you can eat buffet for $5.99 that has a decent selection of dishes. It's a good deal, and usually pretty busy as well.
