Quality food, reasonable prices, nice atmosphere
Food was good, service was fast, atmosphere was very nice, and the prices were very reasonable, I recommend it highly.

Great Service and Good Sushi
My boyfriend and I have been on the lookout for a decent yet affordable sushi place within the upper west side. It was to our delight to have stumbled upon Kouzan! The fish is fresh, the prices are relatively decent and the waitstaff is attentive yet not annoyingly so.

New favorite sushi restaurant!
I went to this restaurant a month ago and I have been back three times since! Absolutely love the atmosphere, food and service. The fun and inventive sushi rolls are my favorite items on the menu. I enjoy their other location restaurant as well, but this one cannot be beat for it's ambience. It is wonderful all around.

Excellent place on any occasion!
My husband and I have had dinner at Kouzan many times. It is a great place! The food and service is fantastic. The owner is always accommodating and pleasant to deal with. True authentic Japanese food can be found only in Japan. Most of New York offers only Americanized version :) I highly recommend Kouzan!

Gives Japanese food a bad name
I was so excited when I found this restaurant. A hip, beautiful Japanese restaurant on the UWS, I was only too excited to try it. I have to say, the food is decidedly un-Japanese. I couldn't eat my food, personally, but I think that is because I was expecting a more authentic Japanese experience. I was disappointed.

Great UWS sushi
Kouzan is a great UWS sushi place. The sushi is always fresh and the owners make you feel very welcome. We're regulars!

What a pleasure!
We have eaten dinner here 4 times and we are going back tonight! From the moment you walk in you are greeted by the smiling, friendly wait staff. The warm towels to wash your hands are the first indication that they want you to feel at home. The service is top notch ... the food is prepared perfectly and presented attractively. Run ... don't walk to Kouzan ... you will be glad you did.
