Nothing to write home about... so far. I go there with Boyfriend for breakfast/lunch sometimes. The staff seems numerous, nice and friendly. Sizable menu. I've tried: 1) Piña colada - first time I've had it it tasted sour, but the bad kind. As if something just began to spoil. Second one was better, but nothing super. The presentation is great though. 2) Disco fries- with cheddar & gravy. Good but don't overeat or it'll be hard to move around. 3) Cream of Turkey. Too salty... kinda ok. Never had one before, so I don't know how it's supposed to be, but the cream felt lumpy and it looked like a porridge rather than a soup. Barely tasted any turkey. But it's hearty and filling. 4) French Onion Soup. Too much mozzarella. Ask them to use half of what they usually put. If you eat all of it, you won't feel hungry for the next 2 days. Very heavy. But good! Tasty. 5) Fried potato skins with cheddar. Regular. Ok. 6) Baked potato with broccoli and bits of bacon. Ok, though I'm not too crazy about the combination. 7) Coffee. I always order, but it's a tad watery. I like a stronger brew. Because I inevitably end up there at least once a month, I'll be sure to try Jumbo Shrimp in cocktail sauce and/or Fried Zucchini Sticks with sauce or Kouros Bay Salad

Pretty Awful
Food was terrible. Ordered a strip steak - which was a buck more than the the sirloin on the menu - some sort of sirloinesque steak came out. When I pointed out to the waitress that it wasn't a strip she said: "This is what we call a strip." Ha.

Best Diner In Sheepshead Bay
I give Kouros Bay 5.0 across the board. The service is friendly, the food is consistently delicious, extremely clean and new. This is the only diner in Sheepshead Bay that I will eat at, the rest are filthy and over-priced. I don't know what the last reviewer experienced, but I order from here all the time, have eaten at most of the top end restaurants in NYC so I believe that I have a reliable palate.. You will get a very good meal here and enjoy friendly and polite service while you are eating it.

subpar food
Wow, this has to be the worst diner food I've ever had. Everything we ordered was not good. I had such high hopes about this place..but we winded up leaving with all of our food still on the table.

great new diner i nabe.
i have eaten in all kinds of restaurants..coffee shops,diners,gourmet,seafood houses, steak houses...its part of my job...but i always love a good diner, the kouros gives me all i love to eat fresh and cheap. compare to manhatten and queens where i do most of my work..i just cant wait to come home to sheephead to visit my family and eat at this new place...ill go back as much as i can..
