Posted by Too pricey to deliver to E. 69th ST! on 05/01/2009
Can't believe they charge $5.00 extra to deliver!
You would think they wouldn't charge you extra to go a couple blocks north. Meanwhile I order from this place often, but now I am cutting back. I don't think they are too smart to lose business for a delivery person to go 2 extra blocks and lose the sales! Dumb. Food is ok, I am Korean so I rather to go Ktown if I have time!

Above-average Midtown Korean
After reading some of the reviews about KP, I was compelled to add my own. I have eaten at the restaurant and have delivery weekly. The set menus for lunch are great - i always find that I am full after eating them. Good variety and a fair value for what you get. I do agree that the Kalbi or BBQ portion could be slightly bigger, but what do you want from Midtown East! Also, they always throw in a little somthing extra if youre a repeat customer which is nice. As far as eating in, the staff is very attentive - always bring you more free appetizers when you're done with the ones on your table. Is it the best Korean in NYC - not by far. But it is teh best in Midtown East and is quite reliable. I highly recommend it.

dissapointed
The made an error on my order. It could have been partially my fault but when the right order arrived I was called to come down to the lobby to pick it up. Once I arrived, the delivery guy asked me to bring the other food. I went up and brought the fish & rice. I was glad my manager had not touched it at all. When I brought it down the delivery guy callled the manager before he was about to hand me over my order. I was very dissapointed. The whole thing was very unprofessional......delivery guy had the guts to tell me that the order came with a soup when it did not. I called the restaurant just to find out that the deliver guy was really following order. Not please at all....

avoid
Was charged an additional 5$ for delivery to 42nd and park. Which was only suppose to 4$. The portion was very small . The food is very over priced with poor quality. Short ribs were all fat and grease. I would not refer this place to anyone.

Great restaurant
A good restaurant but the value is a little over-priced. Good food- it is a cook-your-own-food-place. They give you raw food, and you have your own mini BBQ. The food overall is good, and the atmosphere is great too. The service is decent and they remember you when you go back. They remebered me and my family.

very disappointed
There is better Korean food in k-town. You could just jump in any Korean restaurant is better than here. I went there to have dinner with my boyfriend ordered kalbi waited half an hour to just get water. And food portion was very little not enough side dishes :( never ..... I rather trip down there and enjoy my real Korean food

Most memorable thing was the food
Had california rolls, jab chae, and the crispy flounder for lunch. Was a rather popular place for business men and women to gather and hold informal meetings while enjoying good food. The california rolls were better than the average fare at most sushi places. The texture was fluffy and the flavor was nicely infused. The jab chae was also well done. Did not go overboard with the soy sauce and was of a generous portion. Finally, the crispy flounder must be reviewed in two parts. THe fish itself was well done as the crispy outside was flavorful and did well to complement the blander fish meat on the inside. However, I think the garnish of green onions was just an overkill. THe flavors of green onions panfried in oil does well to complement the lemon-cured fish. However, the entire batch should not have been left on the fish as it was overwhelming with each slice of fish. Did almost ruin the taste of the flounder dish had I not quickly brushed it off to the side. Overall, a good place to grab a well-balanced meal in upper east side, yet not exactly worth it for the price.
