    Best Sushi

I've eaten at Koi twice and food was excellent. Not a cheap dinner but so worth it.

    Very great service

Out waiter Steve took great care of us! He was witty, always attentive, and gave great advice when it came time to choosing from a list of scrumptious options. I have not been there before but will be back! Thanks Steve and koi for a perfect night out!

    Koi

Just okay. Hit up another Japanese restaurant before selecting Koi.

    In love

This is my FAVORITE place in the city to eat. I don't even like shrimp but was convinced to try two different shrimp sushi entrees, both of which I loved! And the crispy rice is a must. Koi has an elegant atmosphere and is definitely worth the price. Fabulous service and wonderful food!

    Great service

To the reviewer who complained about the 'tasteless' edamame: Have you ever had edamame? It really doesn't taste like anything at all, it is a steamed vegetable (young soybeans) sprinkled with salt, so yes, all you will really taste is the salt. As for Koi, I am a vegetarian (vegan) and it's tough to find servers who actually give a hoot. My server was great, informative, knew to tell me to steer clear of the soups. My tofu steak (with vegetables) in ginger sauce was delightfully cooked, with lovely grill marks scoring the surface. The sauce was delicate yet fragrant. I only wished my portion size was just a little larger. Our server was very attentive without being overbearing. I will come here again.

My entree looks like an appetizer

The food was really good, the service, although a bit rushed, was fine and the atmosphere, lovely. But, we were still hungry after our meal and went out directly to another restaurant. We are not big eaters but, seriously, the postions were miniscule and overpriced.

    Nice Experience

Great experience over all- but that is because I wasn't paying the bill! The sushi was good, as was the kobe beef and the duck, but for the 4 of us to eat with only 2 drinks each was close to $1000 with tip! I agree with previous posts that it feels like a hotel restaurant, but the food is really good. Ask to be seated at one of the tables by the sushi bar- best location in the restaurant. Don't miss the rock shrimp rolls! (and be careful when ordering as some prices are per person, not per order!)
