Delicious
Had brunch here at the weekend. The staff are lovely and food delicious. The only drawback to this place is the cash only policy. Hardly anyone I know carries cash and most of us prefer to pay by credit card. I would think twice about going there for dinner purely based on this one issue.

Simply fantastic
Not a foodie, ignorant about New Zealand Cuisine -but this place transformed my outlook on food. The staff is fantastic, it's a great atmosphere, food is phenomenal. The chef is hugely talented, and I plan to go back in a couple of weeks and see what new surprises he has in store. Keep going guys!

Seriously love this place!
My boyfriend loved the chef while he was at another restaurant, and we were so excited when we heard Mark was opening his own place. Honestly, the food is to die for. The veggie pie is better than what my Aussie grandma makes, and the salmon was remarkable. We love their brunch options, too, and they're always changing, thus giving us a ton of mouth-watering variety. The staff is attentive and the decor homey, but the food is really the reason to come. Oh, and one thing I got a huge kick out of? In the bathroom, there is a hook right by the toilet to hang your purse. Details like that make you know the whole restaurant was designed with love from the ground up. You really have to experience the gloriousness of everything at Kiwiana in person, so go!

Near Perfect?
Pros: Food is simple, seasonal, creative and perfectly prepared. Stood waiting for the bathroom watching 3 chefs in a super clean kitchen hovering over each dish as if they truly cared. I don't mind paying 20+ for perfect short ribs.... Ridiculously good. Cons: The service is a tad inexperienced and the music is all 80's stuff which makes the place feel less fresh. If everything else were on par with the kitchen it could be near perfect.
