Don't get me wrong, I totally get that fresh seafood can be very expensive. And I'm willing to pay accordingly to get high-quality food. However the food at Kittery is just not that impressive. I've gotten the lobster roll twice and to me a lobster roll is a benchmark dish in a seafood restaurant -- but both times the lobster was rubbery and overcooked. The appetizers are good but the portions are really small and you're paying $10-$20 per appetizers. My husband has gotten the fish and chips and they're OK but nothing to write home about. The cocktails are excellent, I will say that much. But when you spend $100 on dinner for two you expect something a little more impressive than you get here. I'd much rather hop on my bike and go to the Red Hook Lobster Pound.

My husband and I and a friend just finished a meal here and we all agree it's one of the best meals we've ever had. We started with raw oysters. I had mussels with a delicious red sauce and garlic bread... excellent.. My friend had scallops with truffled cauliflour purée... delicious. My hubby had the cod.. yum. And then we all dug itno an amazing blueberry cobbler with biscuit and vanilla bean ice cream... over the top! Kudos to the chef from start to finish; we all can't wait to go back.

The happy hour is one of the best in the neighborhood: $1 oysters + a $5 cocktail all enjoyed on the front patio. I know where I'm spending my summer.

Have been there numerous times and can't get away from the clams. Others had many other entrees all very good. Just a tad expensive but...
