Kito Gourmet Deli
Posted by Sjs on 01/19/2015
Place is run well; food decent for a deli but don't expect a piled high sandwich. For example, I like BLTs but started going elsewhere because at Kito, a BLT consists of 3-4 pieces of bacon, 2 slices of tomato and 2 leaves of lettuce. Talk about a bare sandwich! Not worth it and not filling! Burgers are thin but decent, Pizza is good for a deli too.

Kito's has a great buffet of Latin American inspired dishes. Besides daily specials of a sandwich/burger with chips and a drink for under $6, Kito's makes the best Cuban sanwiches I have ever tried. They take the pork from the buffet and further cook it on the grill where they melt cheese over ham and prepare the buttered bread and pickles. If you ever have a better Cuban, please let me know. I haven't found it! Thank god for Kitos!

Kito's is probably the favorite deli of the girls in the office. The buffet selection is somewhat small but the food is yum, especially the plaintain mangu and the chicken mmmm. And it's very inexpensive. Sandwiches are pretty much standard fare. Service can be very slow at breakfast. And don't phone in your breakfast order here, it can take an hour to get your bagel and coffee. Prices are always reasonable and the people are friendly.
