    Bland food

I called in for a delivery. Service was prompt and courteous. Unfortunately the food has no taste! Very disappointing.

    Best Take-Out in WaHi

My husband and I order dinner from here about once a week and we're never disappointed. Some restaurants force you to practically scream your order into the phone because they're music is so loud, but Kismat is calm and quiet, you can place an order without having to repeat yourself over and over. I love that about ordering from Kismat. If dining in, the waitstaff is kind and friendly amid a very soothing atmosphere. I order saag matar paneer, a delicious vegetarian dish that mixes nicely with their fresh brown rice. My husband gets the chicken shish kebabs or the tandoori chicken, always moist and delectable. But best of all, their samosas (fried vegetable or beef dumplings) are AMAZING. There are so many Indian restaurants in this city, but Kismat's samosas are by far the best we had both ever tasted.

It's not that the food was bad,

but it was awful bland. example the chicken was moist, but the flavoring was all wrong. It's almost like they ran out of Indian spices (At an Indian restaurant). Like someone who had never made indian food, made it for the first time, but forgot a page in the recipe. Granted, I generally like my indian food spicy (as I feel it should be unless otherwise specified) however my wife (Who likes her indian food bland) even mentioned it was far too bland for her. We ended up reheating the meal on the range and adding our own spices to the mix. Unless we hear of a new menu, or some sort of revamp, we won't order from here again, which is a shame since we love indian food, especially from a place that delivers.

    Great Indian Food

Without doubt this is top notch indian food. Coming from the UK I've been lucky to experience indian food on many occasions and can honestly say this is good stuff.

    hot means hot

i ordered the chicken sag walla and they asked if i wanted it spicy. being a spicy food lover, i said yes. i'm sure it was just me, but i could not eat the food. i love that dish, and will order again but without the added spice! my husband loved his meal. it all arrived via delivery hot and well prepared. but mark my words: Hot means hot.

    Good vegetarian takeout

This is really good vegetarian indian fare. Good selection. Lots of flavor. I ordered delivery and it took only 20 minutes. It was hot and fresh. The Biryanyi was very good. The Paneer was excellent and the saffron rice was delicious.
