Excellent food
Went here for wedding anniversary dinner with my wife. Very quiet, romantic. The prix fixe menu was a super offer. The flavors were unique and all courses were had great presentation. Would definitely go back!

Wonderful venue
Guest at a birthday luncheon. Cozy, intimate room -- perfect setting. Wonderul food and service - perfect for a small women's get together.

Soooooooo Disappointed
Having read some of the reviews, I had so looked forward to meeting with a group of my high school girlfriends (40 years later) for a lovely afternoon of high tea -- surprisingly we had to put down a non-refundable deposit of $200 weeks in advance and guarantee 14 people -- for that we were told that we would have great service in a private upstairs room -- neither of which happened -- service was god-awful, waitstaff non-attentive and downright rude, area crowded and attempts to be able to move ourselves around met with great resistance -- the food was "fake" and mediocre (clotted cream was merely whipped cream) tea brewed with tea bags and tea sandwiches stale and tasteless -- I would never recommend -- and we were rushed out in less than two hours time -- the price was way too high -- no high tea -- highway robbery -- do not go...

Consistently Excellent
My partner and I celebrate her birtthday each year in the winter so we've arrived in the cold, snow and occasionally freezing rain. Entering the restaurant takes you out of the harshness and into a warm, delightful and charming environment that hasn't varied over the years. Food, wine, service and setting are always tops. Though some reviewers have provided negative reviews, we've always had a great evening. Highly recommended for a romantic dinner on the UES.

amazing birthday dinner
Went to Kings Carriage House for the first time last night for my wife's birthday. The food was excellent, start to finish. 3 courses, all excellent... quail, trout, duck, lamb and a port/blue cheese dessert. All great, along with wine list and service. Great place.

Great for a group!
We own a winery in Long Island, and our team was in town to pour for our distributor's clients. Where to take nine hungry and demanding wine professionals whose palettes can uncover a flaw in an '82 Ausone? KCH, of course. We were served in the luscious "Red Room", one of the most inviting dining rooms in Manhattan. The food was superb from start to finish (especially the Duck!), the service was very personal and efficient, and we all had a jolly time with Paul Farrell, the charming owner. Dinner for two at KCH is a romantic treaty, but don't forget when you have to entertain a crowd. The best!
