I've been working in the nabe for 13+ years and have been going to Screaming Chinese (aka King Wok) that long. Linda (screaming Chinese lady) is awesome - never gets anything wrong ever. I personally would never eat in - always get take out or delivery (super fast). It's chaotic and loud in there and pretty shabby too. Food is decent for the money - typical American Chinese. No surprises. Great quick lunch solution.

I consider myself to be a connoisseur of all chinese cuisine and this place does old fashion cantonese chinese food that you would get at the old style chinese lounge that were popular in the 60's an 70's as well as anyone at any price. The gravy on the egg foo yung is a telling sign of there greatness.

This place is great! Cheap! Big portions! Don't miss the passion of the almost-no-voice shouting lady!

I live on the border of Chinatown, and I will only get my Chinese food from King Wok. The woman who takes orders calls me sweetheart and knows that my building has no buzzer. She always gets my order perfect and the only reason she yells is because it's crazy busy in there and she is in a rush. The food is tasty and fresh and not any greasier than one would expect from a hole in the wall takeout place. And there is no msg. I love this place!

This place totally rocks. Best fried chicken wings I've ever had. You definitely gotta try it as they serve it fresh out of the fryer. The other dishes are just as good and the fried rice is perfect!

Don't listen to all those King Wok haters, the food is great and the prices can be beat for lower Manhattan. The delivery is fast, and always accurate. True orders feel rushed, but as other fans have commented, we wouldn't have it any other way. Long Live KING WOK.
