King of Tandoor

Very good food (i am referring only to the vegetarian selections - i don't eat meat), the service is friendly, accommodating, and speedy, great portions ... personally, my system can't handle a lot, despite how yummy it may be - so we don't order a lot, but it's one of the better places in the neighborhood. delivery is friendly and speedy. an all veg indian place in the neighborhood would be nice. maybe one day ...

living in this neighborhood for nearly 10 years and have never come across a place like these guys run! we cannot say enough great things about the staff and the food at king of tandoor ! we have been ordering in or eating in restaurant since they have opened and have always pleased in value, service and above all, flavor & variety! they have an extensive menu of delights to pick from , all authentic & made fresh! notice they close in the afternoon to do dinner service prep (as they do in proper indian fare) PLUS : they take credit/debit !!! try them and become hooked , best restaurant in town, HANDS DOWN!

This place is a jewel in the juggle.....The food was fantastic. The portions were plentiful and the prices were very fair. The service was so phenomenal. The staff was very gracious and they were even understanding when my 2 year old made a bit of a mess at the table but even she thoroughly enjoyed the food. They were kind enough to bring her ice cream at the end of dinner which we thought was so kind. She loved that too! We had a great family dinner there and we really felt at ease and overall it was a fun evening for us. We will most definitely be back there again soon.

These guys are great! I've been coming to King of Tandoor for the past year. The food here is on par with what I used to get in London. Most things on the menu are great. I am kind of a fiend for Indian Food. I've done all of the places on Curry Row in Manhattan, and a few of them from Curry Hill. King of Tandoor tops all of them, both in value, service, quality, and in quantity of food. These guys will get to know you, and remember you. They are really nice. They often give away free Lassi if you order to pick up, and have to wait for your food. The breads and pastries are excellent, especially the Coconut Poori (which is almost a meal in itself.) Even the regular Nan is great. Samosas are also excellent. I really like the meat ones. For an entree, I usually get Chicken Vindaloo. It's hands-down, the best Vindaloo I've had in the U.S. Also delicious are the Shaag (I like Lamb Shaag,) and the plain old Chicken or Lamb Curry. For value, go with the curry boxes for lunch. The only thing I stay away from are the Pakoras. I ordered Chicken Pakora once, it was bone-dry. Didn't order again. One thing you should know about this place is that the food is usually SPICY, unless you ask for mild. This is a good thing. This is how Indian food is supposed to be. It's hard to get a decently-done spicy curry that actually has some flavor in it besides Cayenne, but these guys will do it for you, and if you ask for spicy, get ready for a kick in the face!

The food is fantastic. I have frequented many places and yet find this place to be comparably the best out of the bunch. Food, service, value and delivery! It's my favorite place for Chicken Tikki Masala!

I was happy just to have ANY Indian restaurant near my apartment. And this one happens to be a gem. Great service, nice big portions, and really flavorful food. I can't say enough good things about this place!

We tried one of the two-person combination dinners. 2 Soups, 2 Appetizers, 2 Entrees, 1 Bread, and 2 desserts. Great attentive service and more than fair prices. Don't be afraid of the neighborhood -- recommended.
