King of Tandoor
Posted by Brooklyn Brit on 11/15/2013
I've lived in the US for 18 years now and think that King of Tandoor is a really good Indian restaurant. I'm originally from the UK which is renowned for its Indian restaurants. Even my dad likes this food when he visits from the UK! We tried another restaurant when it opened up on Flatbush and the food was not even close to the flavor and quality of KOT.

When I went there the service was horrible. They even took someone else's order before me even though I was seated first. NEVER AGAIN. folks don't waste your money on this crap.

The best Indian dining experience I've had in Brooklyn. Food is fantastic, service is highly attentive and considerate, prices are reasonable. Very highly recommended.

New to the area - not a lot of options for delivery but this place is a gem! The naan bread is huge!

It's not super cheap, but not crazy expensive and really good food! It did take almost 45 minutes for delivery, but all the food was still piping hot when it arrived. I definitely plan to order from them again!

King of Tandoori provided one of the best Indian experiences I have ever had the privilege of . This coming from a guy who is a tourist in the area, It was an unexpected surprise. The service was fast, the bill was cheap, and it was an extremely comfortable and laid back atmosphere. I would greatly recommend this restaurant as an absolute MUST while in Brooklyn. Primarily, the atmosphere of this place was an absolute blessing for someone who was very tired and stressed after sightseeing all day. It was a quiet haven in a bustling city. The lighting was perfect for sore eyes, but not too dark to see. The setup is very spacious despite the restaurant size. The service was fast, and yet the two gentlemen working were polite, well-mannered, and soft-spoken, traits oh-so-difficult to find in this city. I ordered many different types of their food, trying to try a few new things. At the end of the night, the bill was very small for the amount I ate. The portions are large, and one could easily eat a well balanced meal for under 20$. This restaurant is clearly not looking to take your money and run, even if you are an oblivious tourist. The food itself is reason enough to visit this restaurant, even if it didn't have all traits above. The food was amazing, and is difficult to describe to anyone who hasn't eaten their cooking. Please do yourselves a favour, and stop by this little restaurant as soon as possible.
