King Food Restaurant

Not recommended. Placed an order at 3PM for delivery. One hour later, I called to see if there had been a problem with the order. The order-taker confirmed my order, confirmed my address, and said the order would be out-the-door in 2 minutes. I cancelled the order, and will not order from this establishment again. Have ordered from here in the past, and found the quality of the food to be below average, if economical. Not worth the hassle.

Delicious, inexpensive food delivered by courteous persons. I'm quite sure I've tried every Chinese restaurant on the UWS, and this is the only one I'll order from again (and again). It may be the proverbial hole-in-the-wall, but it beats the fancy-schmancy UWS Chinese restaurants by a mile.

You can't go wrong with this place. It is like every other take out place, quick, oily, and yummy. It differs from other places due to its wide variety and always decent food. There 1$ homade ice tea (super sweet) is a good accompaniment to any dish. If your looking for a decent fast food take out place, hit this up.

I judge a Chinese food place by the chicken and broccoli that they serve. It is both the easiest and fastest dish to make. If it doesn't taste good or it takes too long, chances are you are not getting good Chinese. Well, king food has got to be the FASTEST Chinese delivery in all of New York. Plus, the chicken and broccoli is the best tasting I've had. The other dishes I've tried all follow suit, but the C&B is so good that I just keep going back to it. If you're hungry without a lot of time, go with King Food's Chicken and Broccoli. You won't be disappointed.

Only one table in the place so it's really for take-out only. They are so fast, you've hardly hung up the phone and your doorbell is ringing with the order. Food is medium quality but the chicken dishes are pretty good, especially their sesame chicken. Known in the neighborhood for their southern fried chicken which is also very good. Combo platters are a real bargain as is most of the menu. Recommend their string beans and the moo-shu. The wraps are pitiful but the moo-shu itself is very good and a large portion. They also make a great chicken soup. If you want your food hot, fast, and for the best price on the West Side, this is the place.
