Kiku

Man! I used to love and frequently get delivery from Kiku, but something has changed here. The fish was just blah, the delivery guy called me from his car outside, I guess he didn't want to ring my bell, had to walk out to the curb-side. Never before has this happened. I won't be returning as this was my 2nd subpar experience with Kiku.

Next time I'll just take my $50 and throw them in the toilet because that's where this food went. The miso soup was so watered down it tasted more like damp newspapers than food. The sushi was also wet and tasteless. Rolls were falling apart and generally lacking any desirable flavor. We try to order from different spots in the neighborhood and I honestly can't remember ever eating worse sushi.

This review is for the Best Kiku on 7th Avnue, near Brook-vin and Animal Kind Veterinary hospital. Food: Fresh, filling, reeeeaally good. Portions: Ample if you order right. Presentation: Always impressive. Service: I'm surprised people say that the service is rude. I have been here many times and have never encountered one rude employee. On the contrary the servers are incredibly courteous (giving me an umbrella on one occasion when I asked for a bag, I was heading out and it was raining), friendly, and attentive. My fiance and I love this place. The service and food consistently wonderful service. Overall Review: Why not Kuki? The place is beautiful.

They ruined our Valentines Day dinner! Ordered from there tonight at 8:30. Food took 1 hour to arrive and turned out to be the completely wrong order. We called to complain & they said they would check it out & call back. They didn't. Then we called again and they admitted there was a mistake and they would redeliver. Half hour later and we were still waiting. We call them and they say "the guy is on his way". 15 minutes later, no guy. Finally, at 10:10, a delivery man shows up with NO FOOD. He asks us for the food we received (in error) back, so he could switch it with the people they actually delivered our order to. And then bring back our order to us. Our order, with raw fish, that had been opened by someone else and had been sitting around (unrefrigerated) for an hour. They were obviously unwilling to pay for their mistake by remaking our order, but they paid for it by losing a repeat customer. Never will we order there again. Happy Valentines Day!

Love the rolls. Great for take-out...try the Valentine and White Dragon rolls.

Want you to be sure I'm talking about the place on 7th ave. in park slope. The place on 5th is great. Food on 7th ave.has become so disappointing, We keep trying to support them but no more. They sent a wrong order, and after a hassle to get them to send the right order, they again messed it up and seemed annoyed at us (long time customers/no more).

They just don't know any better but the food is consistently good.
